Using Faith to Overcome Fear During Times of Personal Change

It is not uncommon for us to experience some discomfort and fear when we make changes in our lives that on the surface appear very positive.

It is natural to experience some fear of the unknown and some discomfort when we choose to step out of our “comfort” zone. Don’t be afraid to share these emotions with the people you trust and love. You shouldn’t tell them what you think they may want to hear. Open your heart and discover the joy of feeling true connection to your loved ones. Those who love you the most will want to hear about all that you are experiencing, not just the surface positive. This deepening connection can assist you in overcoming those fears and eventually embrace the changes your heart will lead you to make. Most importantly, embrace the multitude of emotions you may experience when choosing to make a bold move. There is NO contradiction between faith and fear- The key is to embrace the fear as a natural part of the growth process and realize that you have already succeeded by taking the risk. There is no shame if you feel some measure of uncertainty. It doesn’t need to be some dirty little secret. For those who are making or thinking about making bold changes in their lives I salute you all!!- peace.
